A very rare 1971 Le Mans 3 Hour Race 35mm period negative Photograph
Description:
This really is very rare!

A superb original 35mm black and white professional negative showing the Porsche 911 S, race number 38, driven by Pierre Mauroy and Jean-Claude Lagniez in the Le Mans 3 Hours on 18 April 1971.

This was Porsche 911 S chassis 119 30 0932, a 1969 car entered by Pierre Mauroy.

Mauroy and Lagniez qualified 12th for the three-hour race on the full Circuit de la Sarthe with a time of 4 minutes 18.2 seconds.

They went on to produce an excellent result, completing 40 laps to finish 4th overall and, importantly, winning the Grand Touring over 2-litre class.

A superb period action photograph capturing the Porsche at speed through the Le Mans circuit, with the distinctive race number 38 clearly visible.

This is an original period 35mm negative, not a modern reproduction or copy.

The negative is in exceptional condition and has produced the detailed scan shown in the listing.

An excellent addition to a collection of Porsche 911, Le Mans, historic Porsche competition cars or original motorsport photography.
