For Sale: Cash & Co Blackburn & Burnley Black Silk Top Hat Sz 6¾
I understand that Silk Top Hats ceased being made in 1956 due to the closure of a factory in France that produced this special type of silk, making good examples increasingly scarce.
The Hat fits approx size 6¾ head and stands 5¾” high. The hole for your head is 7½” at widest, 6” at narrowest & 21½” around inner circumference.
Exterior: The hat is in good condition & with a 1½” black material band around it.
Interior: Inside the hat is marked “Cash & Co, 53 King William Street, Blackburn & 55 St James Street, Burnley.” with leather inner band as is customary and is in good condition.
Would suit collector or Ascot racegoer alike providing more of a talking point than a modern reproduction!
This hat is in good overall condition & will make an investment now & for the future. (127)
