An exceptional and complete late 1800s German large scale dollhouse accessory set by the premier maker Märklin. This luxury Victorian-era piece features a detachable oval tin tub decorated with an exquisite hand-painted pink-to-white ombre gradient finish and fine gold trim along the rim. Both sides are adorned with delicate, hand-painted or early lithograph floral swags and classical ribbon motifs typical of late 19th-century luxury toy design. The tub rests on an ornate, cream-painted scrolling wrought-tin x-frame stand highlighted with pink accents and prominent gilded lion-head and rosette medallions. Remarkably, this rare set retains its hard-to-find original matching red-and-blue enameled tin water bucket that suspends from the center rack, and also includes a wooden-framed floating bath thermometer with a tiny ribbon tassel, and folded miniature linens. Spanning approximately 7 inches long by almost5 inches tall on the stand, the set exhibits a beautifully preserved antique character with minor, authentic paint wear and chipping along the edges that further confirms its authentic late Victorian pedigree. A master-tier addition to any advanced Märklin, early German toy, or luxury antique dollhouse collection.  Sold as is.  This is a personal favorite from my collection and I do not have much room for offers but reasonable offers will be considered.  For the serious collector.
