This item is a British nineteenth-century historical commemorative medal (or token) celebrating Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria.

It was manufactured by the prolific Birmingham medal-making partnership Allen & Moore (A & M), whose initials you can see stamped at the very bottom of the reverse side.
