Original vintage 1936 Monopoly Super Gold Set by John Waddington Ltd – an early British premium edition of the famous property trading board game.

This attractive and collectable edition features the distinctive long gold-coloured textured box, understated blue Monopoly logo and gold compartmentalised banker's tray.

First introduced in Britain in 1936, the Super Gold Set was a luxury version of Monopoly, originally retailing at 21 shillings, twice the price of the standard long-box edition.

Condition: Used – vintage/collectable condition

The box has considerable age-related wear, including staining, discolouration, rubbing, fraying, splitting and damage to the edges and sides.

The original presentation tray remains present, with its gold-coloured finish and red lifting ribbons.

The board, cards, money and playing pieces show varying degrees of age-related wear and handling.

Contents have been fully counted but not checked against an original inventory, so the set is being sold as pictured
