A short illustrated history of the Dearne Valley Railway, the mainly coal-carrying line that ran through South Yorkshire from near Wakefield towards Doncaster, serving the collieries of the Dearne valley. C. T. Goode covers the building of the line, including the Conisbrough viaduct and the deep rock cutting beyond it, its modest passenger service to places such as Edlington, and its later decline, with period photographs throughout. It will suit railway enthusiasts and anyone interested in the industrial and local history of the Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster area.

The booklet has some rubbing and fading to the orange cover, particularly along the spine edge, with a small crease near the lower staple and a mark on the back cover; inside there are a few small marks on the inside front cover and some light spotting to the title page. See photos
