This vintage toddler shirt from the 1940s is a great example of mid century children's every day clothing. Designed in a ranchwear style, it features long sleeves and an ombre type striped gray fabric that sublty fades from light to darker shades. The front showcases red embroidery and a real pocket. Made by Carnegie, a respected brand of the era, this shirt is ideal for collectors, vintage displays or historical reference. It captures the style and craftsmanship of 1940s children's wear.
Very good vintage condition shirt. Tag size is 4. Measurements are - underarm to underam approx 12.5 inches. Underarm to end of sleeve is approx 11 inches, and measured down the back from the bottom of the collar is approx 14 inches.
The button details are interesting. There are two real buttons/buttonholes and two other buttons, so when buttoned up it looks like two rows of two buttons.
