This is a handmade wooden model of an 18th-century Spanish three-masted tall ship (frigate), named on its brass baseplate plaque as "Fragata Espanola, Ano 1780." The model is fully rigged with three wooden masts, extensive standing and running rigging made of thread and wire, and burlap-style cloth sails, several of which are detached and included as loose spares (one bearing a painted red heraldic crest). The hull is finished in black with gold/tan trim and sits on a wooden base with a gilt-edged brass nameplate.
