Vintage Proto Professional No. 217 brake spring pliers, made in the USA. Specialty automotive tool for removing and installing drum-brake springs, with curved jaws and spring removal/installation ends built into the handles. Estimated to have been manufactured in the 1950s.

Stamped “217 PROTO PROFESSIONAL U.S.A.”

Used condition with finish wear and some surface rust, as pictured. Has not been tested on a brake assembly. A useful addition to a drum-brake service kit or a collection of vintage American tools.
