From a collection of photographs and military career notes of Eton boys and men taken in 1909.
The notes on J H Bevan state he was a Captain in the Hertfordshire Regiment and served in France. Further research shows that he was a Staff Captain of the 61 Division and was awarded the 1914 Star medal.
Born 1895 as John Henry Bevan the son of David Augustus Bevan and Maud Elizabeth Brand
Each card has a photograph on each side, ie two portraits per card.
