A classic mid-century Swiss dress watch from Cyma, one of the great old names in Swiss watchmaking, dating to circa the 1950s.
Model: Cyma Triplex, "Cymaflex" line — Cyma's own early shock-protection system for the balance, a genuine point of horological interest from this era.
Movement: Calibre R.459, 17 jewels, manual wind, signed CYMA with "Switzerland + Tavannes" on the train bridge — Tavannes being the ébauche manufacturer behind many classic Cyma calibres. Clean, honest movement with visible jewels and a nicely finished train.
Dial: Original patinated dial signed "CYMA" with the period logo and "CYMAFLEX" text, applied baton markers, dauphine-style hands.
Case: Stainless steel 35mm, showing some wear, on a brown leather strap.
A great honest example of 1950s Swiss watchmaking with a bit of horological pedigree thanks to the Cymaflex shock system — ideal for a collector, a Cyma enthusiast, or someone wanting a wearable piece of vintage Swiss history.
