THIS IS THE "ORIGINAL" LESTER
This is the original "LESTER" 30" ventriloquist dummy sold by Juro Novelty Company in the late 1960’s.
Lester is based on the character created by ventriloquist Willie Tyler. This original version is unlike any other. Even the later version by EeGees/Goldberger cannot be confused with this version.
This original Juro "Lester" looks more like the character created by Willie Tyler that people remember from numerous TV appearances, especially Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In of the late 1960's.
. When Goldberger purchased Juro Novelty Co in the early 1970’s, they released their own 24” version of Lester. The Goldberger (EeGees) version is much more commonly available today.

DESCRIPTION:
Lester is 30" Tall
MOUTH WORKS: To operate the mouth you pull the string out the back of his neck to open his mouth. Release the string and the mouth closes (SEE PHOTO AND VIDEO).
Body is cloth fiber filled and has the classic 1960's firmness
Head and hands are of a plastic/rubber/vinyl material. Looks to be in really nice condition (in my opinion) for being over 50 years old but may show the usual wear from age, handling, use, display and storage (SEE PHOTOS)

You will not find many original Juro Novelty Co "LESTER" dummies for sale as they were made in limited quantities and are very rare today and highly collectible!
THIS LESTER IS ALMOST 60 YEARS OLD. IT IS NOT BRAND NEW. FINDING ONE IN THIS WELL-KEPT ORIGINAL CONDITION (DOWN TO THE ORIGINAL SHOES) IS A KEEPER!

I am selling these ventriloquist dummies for the family of the owner. Proceeds will help them pay their expenses. I did not buy them new. I do not know the history of them.
