Deluxe Upgrade Danny O'Day Semi-Professional Ventriloquist Dummy
Original standard dummy was made By Juro Novelty/E.G. Goldberger and was upgraded by Clinton and Kevin Detweiler at Maher Studios in the late 1970's. Authenticity has been confirmed by Clinton Detweiler's son Kevin through correspondence
This Danny O'Day ventriloquist dummy has been upgraded with a wood framed hard hollow body with a ball and socket neck. The head is mounted on a wooden post and can turn full circle, tilt, and nod! The mouth and eyes work by pulling/moving the lever on the control stick (See photos). Mouth and Eyes function properly (SEE VIDEO)
Clothing is correct vintage (SEE PHOTOS)
Face, hair and hands show the usual wear from age, handling and storage (SEE PHOTOS)
NOTE: According to Kevin Detweiler: "Wood lever and eyes control wheel (See Last Photo) was experimental and there's only about three dummies out there with that hook-up. Made 1978-79"
DONT BE FOOLED: Clinton Detweiler/Maher Studios dummies from the 1970's-80's used unique head stick control levers and string. They DID NOT use the white plastic lever you see on many upgraded dummies - This has been confirmed by Kevin Detweiler, Clinton's son.
