Vin Rude takes you through the world of wine, from the delights of a well-formed corkscrew to the mysteries of French shapes, honeymoon wine, vin d'une nuit, and dozens of other irresistible and useful items of alcoholic information. Research for the text has taken the author to the bottom of many a bottle, and every page is a testimonial to his thirst for knowledge.

The photographs continue the tradition of fearless exposure that has become a hallmark of David Thorpes work.

Vin Rude is an essential addition to any wine-lover's library. It has tempted more than one connoisseur to disrobe completely. What more could you ask of a book?
