Official Red Hat Linux 6.2 "Standard Edition" - factory sealed vintage boxed operating system from 2000. A genuine piece of Linux and open-source history, still in its original manufacturer's shrink-wrap and never opened.

About this release:
- Red Hat Linux 6.2, released April 2000 (Linux kernel 2.2.14)
- Standard Edition retail box
- As printed on the box, contents are: two operating-system CDs, one documentation CD, and a 100-page Installation Guide
- Software of the era: GNOME 1.0.55 & KDE 1.1.2, XFree86 3.3.6, Apache 1.3.11, Netscape Communicator 4.7

Condition: factory sealed in the original shrink-wrap, unopened. The wrap shows age-related shelf wear consistent with 20+ years of storage - some cloudiness, light scuffing and minor discolouration/spotting - but the box remains sealed and intact (see photos). As the box is sealed, the contents cannot be inspected and are described from the exterior and the manufacturer's box printing.

Please note: this is sold as a vintage collectible / display piece. The online updates and installation-support offers printed on the box expired many years ago.

Ships carefully packaged to protect both the box and the seal.
