 A series of short stories; Parker Pyne Investigates follows a retired civil servant who advertises in the newspaper offering aid to the unhappy. From jealous spouses to lonely travellers abroad, Pyne uses charm, psychology, and an eccentric team to mend hearts, unravel schemes, and, on occasion, unmask crime.

The book is in good condition, covers a little grubby, page edges browned, spine sunned. Reasonably tightly bound. Foxing on the end papers. The text block is generally clean, free of markings and foxing.
