It was found on the spots of fightings ,which took place nearby Tukums Latvia in year 1944.

Original heavy steel WWII-era tank track link  US M4 Sherman tank.

The item was found in Latvia, Tukums district.

According to the history associated with the find, the Sherman tank from which this equipment originated was reportedly supplied to the Soviet Union under the U.S. Lend-Lease program during WWII, circa 1944.

This is a very heavy, solid forged-steel military tool designed for working with / connecting tank track links.

Condition:
Original battlefield / ground-found condition with considerable age-related surface corrosion and patina. It has not been restored, repainted or aggressively cleaned. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
