This is a substantial vintage Chinese cloisonné jardiniere, or small decorative pot, cast in heavy brass and weighing approximately 1 pound despite its compact 4.5-inch width and 3.5-inch height. The bulbous body is finished in a turquoise-blue cloisonné ground, with a scrolling floral vine worked in fine gold wire (cloisons), carrying pink and red blossoms, green leaves, and larger blue-and-white flower medallions around the circumference, all classic elements of Chinese cloisonné floral scrollwork.

The rim flares outward into a scalloped, petal-form edge in polished brass, evoking an open lotus blossom, a design detail also seen on antique Chinese cloisonné jardinieres and censers of similar form. Just below the rim, a distinctive textured brass band, cast in a repeating honeycomb-like geometric pattern with a dark, oxidized finish, adds real visual interest and craftsmanship not found on simpler cloisonné pieces. The piece rests on a short, integral brass footring.

No maker's mark is visible on the base, so this is offered as an unattributed vintage Chinese cloisonné piece rather than tied to a specific workshop. The weight and thickness of the brass body, along with the small natural pitting visible within the enamel fields, are consistent with quality mid-20th-century Chinese cloisonné production.
