BMW 730Li – Long Wheelbase
This has been a brilliant car and in 5yrs of ownership has
never broken down or been in any way unreliable.
Usually the Li model comes with the V8, but this one is rare
and fitted with the legendary N52 B30 engine, (petrol 3.0 litre 6-cylinder)
which is bombproof and doesn’t use oil. 201,000 miles, mostly all motorway
miles.
- Used
as my daily driver so mileage will increase. Very comfortable cruiser.
- Auto
box with Comfort / Sport / Manual shift modes
- Fuel
consumption averages around 31-32mpg
- Black
full leather interior
- Monaco
Blue paint
- Same
owner for 5yrs.
Good points:
- New
12mths MOT (until June 2027).
- Good
tyres, (brand new front passenger side)
- Comes
with service history, manuals and 2x keys. (Regularly serviced)
- Very
comfortable and reliable, (I do around 500 miles/week in it).
- No
oil leaks, (rocker cover gasket changed recently).
- Structurally
sound, no accident history.
- No
mechanical issues.
- 18”
wheels with high profile tyres make the car effortlessly smooth to drive.
- Rear
air suspension works perfectly
- Spare
wheel & jack.
- Air
con works perfectly.
- Sat
Nav and radio/infotainment works, (has AUX input for mp3, etc).
- Rear
electric sunblind.
- Front
coolbox.
- Automatic
main beam headlights
- Automatic
handbrake and hill assist
- Cruise
control
- Bluetooth
phone
- Massive
amount of boot space and rear legroom, even with front seats fully back.
- Rear
optional extra footrests.
- Private
plate included.
Bad points
Nothing major, just minor stuff which is all easily sorted,
but I have lived with it
- Front
driver bumper has the usual paint scuff, which is an easy paint-only
repair if you want to, and a few stone chips as its done 200,000 miles,
but no real damage.
- Airbag
light needs reset as I changed the passenger front window regulator and
had to disconnect then reconnect the airbag. When I plugged it back in he
light came on, so should only need a reset.
- Rear
passenger electric headrest doesn’t work but can be adjusted manually.
- Front
passenger side PDC sensors need replacing.
- Headlights
could do with a polish
- 2-keys
provided but need a tap now and again as internal batteries are getting
low.
- Bonnet
gas struts could do with replacing
*I'm based in Essex but regularly commute to Coventry if
that helps.
**No silly offers or low bids as I won't be replying to
those I’m afraid.
