Vintage Sheffield Silver-Service Cutlery Set

This vintage silver-service cutlery set was made in Sheffield and offers a complete selection of dining pieces for twelve place settings, with four additional tablespoons for serving.

Marks and Craftsmanship

All spoons and forks are stamped on the underside of the handle with the EPNS A1 SHEFFIELD ENGLAND mark.

The knives feature superior-quality silver-plated hollow handles attached to Sheffield stainless-steel blades, each bearing the MADE IN SHEFFIELD ENGLAND logo.

Checking through the set I note that the 4 tablespoons are made by Mappin & Webb.

Condition and Storage

As a vintage set, the cutlery shows normal signs of use, including some surface marks and signs of wear.

The storage case has a few scratches, marks and knocks, but it has protected the set well.
