Offered is an attractive antique E. Howard Watch Co. pocket watch, dating to approximately 1908 based on the supplied serial-number attribution. The movement is marked “E. Howard Watch Co. / 1002767 / Boston U.S.A.” and “17 Jewels.” It is believed to be a 12-size Series 7 movement.
The watch features a handsome white Howard-signed dial with stylized black Arabic numerals, red outer five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock, and blued-steel style hands.
The movement is housed in an ornate-edge Emperor case. The inside case back is stamped with the Emperor crown trademark, “EMPEROR / BASE METAL” and case number 653366. Please note that this is a base-metal case and is not being represented as solid silver, gold-filled, or solid gold.
Condition: The watch shows age-appropriate cosmetic wear, including scratches and surface wear to the case and case back. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best assessment of cosmetic condition. The dial presents well in the supplied photographs.
Running condition: The watch is currently running. No claim is made regarding timekeeping accuracy, power reserve, or service history unless otherwise documented. As with any antique mechanical watch, servicing may be advisable for regular use.
