UK 1st Press of Keith CRoss & Peter Ross's iconic "Bored Civilians " album on the Decca label, Released in 1972 on Decca Records, Bored Civilians represents a high-quality but largely overlooked entry in early 70s UK folk and progressive rock
The album was a collaboration between Keith Cross, previously associated with the proto-prog band T2, and Peter Ross, known for his work with Hookfoot. Despite the musicians’ talent, the album did not achieve commercial success at release, and both Cross and Ross subsequently pursued different paths in music, with Cross eventually relocating to the United States
The album carries a laid-back folk rock and prog rock style with clear American West Coast vibes, reminiscent of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Byrds, and other contemporary influences of the era.
It features:
Gentle harmonized vocals and intertwining guitar lines
Pedal steel guitar contributions by BJ Cole
Flute and saxophone by Jimmy Hastings, and orchestral elements arranged by Tony Sharp
Covers such as "Peace In The End" (originally by Sandy Denny and Trevor Lucas), giving it an additional folk-rock pedigree

Key Features:
Disc Visual Grade: VERY GOOD PLUS
Under a strong halogen spotlight, there are a handful of very light skating hairlines and a slightly heavier linear mark on the B across track 1[does not sound] side : Labels are lovely and clean minimal spindle marking.
DISC has been ultrasonically cleaned using a Humminguru cleaner
Audio Grade: VERY GOOD PLUS
The record plays through well, there is some very light pop/ noise on run in, and the odd pop / minimal noise during and between some tracks but overall a fantastic listening experience B side is much better that the A side
Sleeve Grade: VERY GOOD PLUS / EX
Sleeve has some very light shelf wear to the edges / corners, a bit of laminate creasing, spine is clearly readable. - NO writing, tears or Stickers

All my items are visually graded and I generally use the Record collector guidance, records are only play tested if they are of a value over £40, this will be noted on the listing description. Any damage will be described in the listing but please take time to examine the photographs or ask any questions and ensure you are happy.

Near Mint - The records looks as though it has been rarely played .
Excellent - The record shows signs of having been played but there are little or no significant marks on the playing surface.
Very Good+ - The record has obviously been played and there are some light hairlines / scuffs on the playing surface.

PACKAGING
All of my records are sent in specialist mailers and larger orders in specialist boxes. Vinyl is removed from the outer sleeve prevent seam splits in transit and dispatched in an outer plastic sleeves to minimize surface wear and prevent moisture damage.
DOMESTIC POSTAGE
Within the UK all items are dispatched using Royal Mail 2nd Class with proof of purchase retained, more valuable items will be send 2nd Class recorded.
