A small frog carved in the round from green jade, crouched with its forelegs tucked under and its back legs folded at its sides, makes up this pendant, hung head-up from a plain 18K yellow gold teardrop bail on a jump ring. The jade is an apple green that pales toward near-white through the chest and forelegs, and the whole carving is translucent, so the green comes through the whole body of the frog. Round bulging eyes and a broad mouth are cut cleanly into the head, and the back is smooth and rounded. At approximately 28mm in drop by 12.5mm wide and approximately 4.9 grams, it is a small, solid carving of a frog with its green all the way through.
