A rare well made German Hanau solid sterling silver miniature model. It is hallmarked with German Hanau marks along with English import marks for London 1900 with the importer being John George Smith. It has been superbly designed being modelled in the form of a military sentry post. It in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, slight upturn to a base corner and I think his sword should be a touch longer. It measures over 2 inches (5.2cm) tall by 1.5 inches (3.6cm) wide including the soldier figure by over 1 inch (3cm) front to back tall and weighs 40 grams. A very nice rare piece.
