As people keep asking, am just restating, my apologies, but this does NOT come with a chain.

In very good condition, for what I gather is around 50 years of age.  Why I gather that?... well, the hallmarks indicate, if my research is right, that this, 9 carat gold, was made by the Gold and Silversmith, Andrew MacGowan in Birmingham,  who's stamp is JAM, with a date stamp 'C', corresponding I believe with 1977.  I had thought it to be older, as it and another, were passed down as part of an inheritance. ( I must be getting? old, if I think over half a century is 'not old)

A very pretty engraved locket.  I recall seeing similar designs, but I think this was simply what was in vogue then.  The interior has a little 'stain'.
As said, unfortunately, it does not come with a chain, but I have found that most people already have their favourites.

I found it almost impossible to get good clear photos of the hallmarks.
