Vintage English Shipwright Half-Hull Model “GALAXY” — Greenwich 1867, 400 Tons
A charming vintage English maritime wall plaque featuring a hand-crafted half-hull model of the ship “GALAXY”, marked “Greenwich 1867” and “400 tons.”
The model is presented in a hand-painted red wooden frame with a blue-green background. The hull is painted in traditional maritime red, black and cream tones and features hand-written technical shipbuilding annotations, including “Plate No. 35,” “Rake,” “Keel Line,” “Brace” and “Strake.”
These details give the piece the appearance of a traditional British shipwright’s or shipbuilding display model.
