Overview:
An antique textile sample book containing 100 actual fabric swatches of various Kasuri (Ikat) from around the world, including India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, and Guatemala. An additional 33 actual fabric swatches, such as Kasuri, have been pasted in the right-side margins by the previous owner (believed to be a textile collector or researcher).

- Note: The 2 swatches originally pasted on leaf 50 were carefully peeled off and relocated to the right margin of leaf 49. Instead, one large additional actual fabric swatch (two-page spread size) has been pasted on leaf 50. (Please refer to the images)


Condition:
Missing the separate single-sheet table of contents.

Originally, no commentary text is included.

Double box. There is tanning/discoloration due to age, minor damage to the shipping box, and the book title is handwritten on the spine. There are minor wrinkles on the mounting paper, and slight fraying on the edges of the fabrics.
