Vintage hallmarked sterling silver thimble, which has all over daisy design. The thimble is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the Birmingham assay office mark and the date letter M for for 1936, and the markers mark of JS&S for James Swann & Sons. AGE Assayed in 1936. SIZE The thimble measures 2cm (¾") high and 1.7cm (¾") in diameter. CONDITION The thimble is in good condition, although it is slightly out of round, plus there is a little surface wear. Please refer to the above photographs for details of condition.

Antique solid sterling silver sewing thimble by "James Walker, The London Jeweller", with an engraved floral border beneath a honeycomb working surface.

The hallmarks comprise the James Walker (JW&Co) maker's mark, the Lion Passant denoting sterling silver, the Chester Assay Office mark, and a lowercase "y" date letter, dating the thimble to 1924.
