The Dust Wrapper - Original publisher's pictorial dust wrapper, retaining strong colour and clearly defined artwork to the front panel. The predominantly black rear panel displays some surface rubbing, scuffing and fine scratches, together with light edge wear, minor corner rubbing and slight creasing around the extremities. The price flap is unclipped showing original price.

The Covers - Publisher's original blue boards. The visible surfaces appear clean and retain their colour, with minor pushing and rubbing around the spine ends and corners. No major board damage is visible.

The Binding - The hardcover binding appears square and firm, with no obvious spine lean. The photographed opening appears secure and no loose or detached leaves are visible.

The Page Edges - The exposed text-block edges display moderate, even age-toning, most apparent along the fore-edge and lower edge. A small number of faint handling marks are visible, without any major staining shown.
