Description
This vintage chrome postcard features the historic Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem, one of the Old City's most famous entrances. The view shows the ancient stone walls and archway with palm trees in the foreground and pedestrians walking along the pathway. Buses and vehicles from the mid-20th century era are visible in the scene. The card shows vibrant chrome-era color photography typical of postcards from the 1960s-1970s. The back includes text in both English and Arabic identifying the landmark. The card is unposted and in good condition showing its age. A wonderful piece capturing an important religious and historical site in Jerusalem during a significant period in the region's history.
