Here is a beautiful 15.996 gram slice of NWA 10553 Eucrite-br Achondrite meteorite.  This 2015 single stone recovery from Northwest Africa had a tkw of only 250 grams.  The slice has a thin black fusion crust and a dark-grey matrix of brecciated pyroxene with exolution lamellae and plagioclase grains.  Eucrites are part of the HED group of meteorites which are believed to have originated from the asteroid Vesta about 4.5 billion years ago.  The pictured slice has a thin fusion crust and measures approximately 62mm x 44mm x 3mm.  The NWA 10553 is mentioned in the 'Meteoritical Bulletin" #105 (2016) and comes with a display case with purchase.
