A gorgeous Victorian sterling silver mustard pot by George Nathan & Ridley Hayes with pierced decoration of circles and ellipses reserving stars and suns and two pierced borders running below the rim and above the foot creating a delicate rolling scrolled design. All over bright cut engraved floral detailing and embossed details to the pierced areas. Cast beaded rim and foot and similar cast decoration down the handle and over the thumb rest. The hinged cover has lovely bright cut engraved borders and is finished with a pagoda shaped knop. Fitted with the original blue glass liner. Hallmarked for London 1894. 

It measures 7cm (2 3/4") high, 5.7cm (2 1/4") wide across the body and 8cm (3 1/8") including the handle. Total weight of the pot with liner 166g, silver weight 78g / 2.5 ozt.

In excellent condition with no damage, dents or repairs. Very minor handling wear, some light rubbing to the hallmarks but the engraved decoration is all nice and crisp.
