Overall, the box is in good original condition. There's a knot of wood missing at the one corner, which you can see in the (16th) photo above, and the lock mechanism is missing. However, other than it is in very good condition. Also, there looks to be extremely faded writing in pencil underneath the box and lid, but I am not able to make anything out. I have provided (4) dozen enlarged photos below to give you a very thorough view of this lovely PA folk art box.
