NATO: Operational Combat in Europe in the 1970s, a vintage strategy wargame published by Simulations Publications Inc. The game presents a hypothetical modern conflict between NATO and Warsaw Pact forces, beginning at 0500 hours on M+1 in 1976.
Players command forces from fourteen different nations across a large map of Western Europe. The rules cover conventional ground combat as well as airmobile and air-transportable units, tactical nuclear weapons, national supply systems, Warsaw Pact reliability, possible NATO neutrality and Chinese intervention.
This copy is supplied in its original SPI-style clear zip-lock wallet with the printed cover sheet. The wallet and paper components show minimum age-related wear, some creasing and discolouration, as expected for a game of this age.
An interesting original 1970s Cold War wargame for collectors of SPI publications, military simulations and vintage board games. Please study the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
