Pair of Crystal Decanters

This pair of Art Deco crystal decanters, dating to 1936 and 1938, feature thick tapered bodies with shaped vertical lines cut into the crystal. Each decanter is formed as a stylised fan, fitted with a stepped sterling silver collar and matching fan shaped crystal stopper.

The silver collars are hallmarked Birmingham, one by Aide Brothers for 1936 and the other by Walker & Hall for 1938. Although produced by different Birmingham silversmiths, the pair were almost certainly retailed together through the same retailer, explaining the variation in makers while maintaining an identical design.
