Vintage Rustic Pine Bench - Chunky Shaped Edge - Two Tier Live Hall Seat Table 

Description

A vintage rustic pine bench with a long solid seat, open lower shelf and chunky end supports. Its narrow proportions make it suitable as a hallway bench, boot-room seat, low display table or practical storage seat.

Constructed from solid pine with thick boards, square supports and naturally shaped waney edges to the seat and lower shelf. The visible knots, grain and uneven edges give it a handmade country appearance. The piece appears to be later 20th century and made in a rustic farmhouse style.

Condition

In used vintage condition.

Showing age and use with scratches, scuffs, knocks, dents, stains and finish wear throughout. The pine has an uneven honey-coloured finish with darker marks, lighter patches and general surface discolouration.

The seat and lower shelf show scratches, small stains, worn patches and minor finish loss. There are visible knots, natural timber variation and rougher areas along the shaped edges.

The frame has open joint lines in places, together with old screw and fixing holes. There are signs of previous glue or repair around some joints, particularly towards the lower frame and end sections.

Some edges and corners have small chips, knocks and abrasions. 

The bench remains usable and has a sturdy rustic appearance.

Would benefit from a good clean and polish, or ideal for refinishing.
