The King No. 1401 with 7 inch bell, medium bore for general use. The most practical trombone for all-around playing.
In every nook and corner of the world where trombones are used, you will find King trombone and satisfied owners. The King continues to be the outstanding trombone from the first one made, because it embodies new ideas, improved construction, finer workmanship and has helped the trombonist to play better with less effort, and produce some beautiful effects he could not get before.
Besides a King will give more hours, days, weeks and years of satisfaction and service than any trombone made.
With the latest improvements-dual bore, light weight, easier and faster working slides, more volume and ease of playing in upper register, perfect intonation and wonderful tone (such as only a King has), the improved balance and easier working slide in 7th position, makes it the ideal trombone. –King Trombone Catalog, 1935.
