This striking sculpture is inspired by Luciano Garbati's 2008 artwork "Medusa with the Head of Perseus", a bold reinterpretation of one of the most famous stories in Greek mythology.

Unlike the traditional legend in which Perseus defeats Medusa, this contemporary work reverses the roles, depicting Medusa standing victorious while holding Perseus' severed head and his sword.

The sculpture gained worldwide recognition as a modern symbol associated with the Me Too movement, representing resilience, justice, and the reclaiming of personal power. Combining classical mythology with contemporary artistic expression, it has become one of the most recognizable reinterpretations of ancient Greek themes.

⚒️ Material & Craftsmanship

Crafted using the Cast Alabaster process, this sculpture is made from natural crushed Greek alabaster stone blended with a small amount of resin, allowing for exceptional detail while maintaining the elegant appearance and texture of solid marble.

Over 90% of the finished sculpture consists of genuine alabaster stone. Each piece is handmade in Greece and individually hand-finished to ensure outstanding quality and faithful reproduction of every artistic detail.

The material is durable, weather-resistant, resistant to bubbles and cracking, and can be cleaned with most common household cleaning agents.

This is a cast alabaster reproduction, not a hand-carved sculpture. Minor surface variations, seams, or small imperfections are a natural result of the handcrafted process and enhance the unique character of every piece.
