Stunning Victorian Crystoleum Picture after Angelo Asti

Crystoleum painting is a specialised, luminous form of reverse-glass art created by transferring a photographic print onto glass, rubbing away the paper backing, and hand-colouring the image with oil paints.  In the 19th and early 20th centuries, these pieces combined the precision of photography with meticulous manual artistry.

The subject is a beautiful young lady which Asti was famous for painting. There's a signature on the bottom RH corner.  The image is slightly convex and would look amazing in most settings.
