This is the edition from 1938 - it also has this written in the lid, as the boy it was gifted to that year has written his name and the date 

 The box is sturdy - the lid has wear to the corners and edges and has tape 

 The green is in excellent condition  - much better than expected for its age. 

There are eight lead horses  - they are all J. Hill and Co apart from the white one which is Chad Valley  - Mainly all in good condition, this has been looked after  but there are signs of age with the horses, please see the photos as I have taken close up pictures so you can see the condition yourself . ..  The green horse is missing the riders head , so is the red and the blue  - the pink horse is missing a tail. The cards are in excellent condition and are all complete, they are nice and white and look unused, or so well looked after that hardly any wear is visible. The fences aren’t perfect, but after nearly ninety years this is in a lovely condition
