HOW TO PLAY

Position all horses and buggies and Winning and Starting Posts as shown in the illustration on the instructions..  Adjust these posts for required distance of the race (up to nine feet) and the number of players.

Take about 12" of both reins in right hand (or left) one between first and second fingers and the other between third and little fingers allowing the surplus to drop down from the fingers.

Gently but firmly pull reins with even tension until you hear a 'Click' bringing horse to a rearing position (as in 3 then immediately release with an even and controlled rein, when horse and buggy will have travelled anything up to three or more inches according to how you do it. Repeat this movement letting the reins slip through fingers about every six releases until the race is finished.

Just as in real driving and riding unless an even tension on reins is maintained, horse may go off course either to right or left, which is so with Trottingette if this happens-gently tighten opposite rein by pressing with finger.

To bring horse and buggy back to Starting Post, give reins a sharp jerk' when horse will fall backwards on to buggy and then pull back to Starting Post.
