MINT STATE 48MM ARNOLD / FRODSHAM SOLID 18K GOLD POCKET WATCH, RUNNING!

You are bidding on an absolutely stunning Frodsham - High Grade 21 jewel keywind  pocket watch that is over 150 years old!!  This watch is an extremely large and very heavy 94.6 grams mens 18K pocket watch that is in amazing condition for its age.  This watch is one the oldest I have had in my possession. A watch like this should be the cornerstone of any English fusee collector because of the age, history and the fact that is one of the earliest and Most Highest grades produced in England. What an exciting find!

  The watch has so many amazing features! The movement is a 3/4 plate and is a 21 Jewel, capped on escapement and jeweled to the center wheel – check out the size of the jewelling! It is a gilded movement with the gilding being in terrific condition. The balance cock also shows spectacular hand engraving which adds to the beauty of this movement. 

The case is of the highest quality and is original to the watch and in absolutely  mint condition and correct style for the age of the watch. Check out the photos and you will see the great condition of this case - considering it’s age, this watch must have not had excessive use. This case is just massive and amazing to hold in your hand.  The case is nearly 48mm in diameter!!!  The case has no major scratches or dents. The outside case is fully engine turned.  All case lid hinges are tight and open and close well.  The hinges are firm and all case lids close with no gaps showing which is fantastic for a case of this age.  The case has great offset solid gold hinges and the Hallmarked Solid 18K Bow is intact and tight.

The glass enamel single sunk dial is also in pristine condition with ne defects – INCREDIBLE FOR THE AGE!! The original, thick glass crystal is also spotless. The Roman Numerials are still very clear and in ‘like new’ condition. The dial is correctly marked with a matching serial number and the watch carries its original  hands, al mint state too

This watch is key set and key wind. The watch was cleaned, oiled, and adjusted on 07/15/2026 and is running sproperly and keeping excellent time.  The hands set very well. 

There is no possible way you could be disappointed with this watch and it would be the pride of your collection. This old masterpiece has history and good looks!
