George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition is the highly regarded four-disc DVD box set released by Anchor Bay Entertainment in 2004. This out-of-print collector’s edition presents three major versions of Romero’s landmark 1978 horror film: the U.S. Theatrical Version, the longer Extended Version, and the European Version edited by co-producer Dario Argento. The set also includes a dedicated documentary disc, the original foldout program insert, and a mini-reproduction of IDW Publishing’s Dawn of the Dead comic book Issue #1.
Widely considered one of the defining films of modern horror, Dawn of the Dead expanded the world introduced in Night of the Living Dead while combining graphic practical effects, social satire, dark humor, and an unforgettable shopping-mall setting. **CONDITION**
Very Good overall, with the contents presenting in Very Good Plus condition. All four DVDs are present and remain exceptionally clean overall. One disc has a single light cosmetic scuff; the disc was tested and played without issue during testing. The remaining discs show little evidence of handling. The four-panel foldout DigiPak remains structurally sound with secure disc hubs, and the included comic book and foldout insert are clean and well preserved. The outer slipcase shows visible shelf and storage wear, including rubbing, edge wear, corner wear, small surface marks, and heavier wear with separation at one lower corner, as clearly photographed.
