A lot of three ancient pottery sculpture fragment of a human and a zoomorphic figure from the Los Barrancos culture of Venezuela , South America, dating back to 1000 BC to possibly 1000 AD. Very little is known of the mysterious Barrancas peoples, their pottery is the only remaining evidence of this ancient culture. This lot of shards was excavated in the Barrancos region by a museum curator Paul Hendricks in 1965 and was exhibited for over 30 years at the Museum of Oddities in Metamora, Indiana, until it closed in 2018. This lot of pottery shards largest piece measures 3.5 inches across.
