ATELIER Z JHJ-265D -Natural- #042337 [4.51kg]
The JHJ-265D is a variant of the M#265—Atelier Z's flagship 5-string model that has long supported the modern music scene—now equipped with Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups.
Since the 1980s, this instrument has earned the trust of countless artists, delivering a sound that remains indispensable to this day.
While the "Magnitude" series originated as the signature model for Tomohito Aoki, its 70s-style tone—characterized by clarity and immense power—has made it a favorite among a wide range of musicians over the years.
The JHJ-265D was previously sold as the M#265/70' D Plus but was rebranded and updated to the JHJ-265D to commemorate Atelier Z's 35th anniversary.
It has evolved into a more modern instrument, featuring "Spectrum Boost" wiring and the removal of the pickup fence.
A mini-switch allows for seamless toggling between "JJ" and humbucker tones, enabling the player to switch between the thick, loud sound typical of MM-style pickups and the classic M#265 sound.
Powered by Atelier Z's proprietary technology, the instrument delivers a consistent tone that remains stable regardless of the amplifier or playing environment.
The control layout features dual volume knobs and a 2-band EQ (treble/bass boost), while a mid-cut trim pot located on the rear control cavity cover allows for fine-tuning of the midrange frequencies.
Additionally, this model features a special "35th Anniversary" sticker applied to the neck heel area.
Equipped with the "Z Tuning System" to deliver Atelier Z's signature sound and set up with low string action, this model offers excellent playability, allowing for effortless performance even with a light touch. Scale: 34”
