Vintage Red Ruby & Fuchsia Aurora Borealis Rhinestone Karu Akre Brooch & Earrings Set

The New York City based costume jewelry manufacturer Karu was the successful collaboration of Paul Kaufman and Jack Ruderman, which began in the 1940’s. Karu jewelry was extremely popular. The quality and designs of Karu costume jewelry are similar to Weiss or Weisner. However, Karu’s name soon changed to Karu Arke Inc. Also, among Karu trademarks was Karu Fifth Avenue.By 1972, the company ceased to exist. Thus, all Karu brand products are vintage and collectible.

Brooch is done in a round shape gold metal design set with alternating ruby red and feep fuchsia or deep lavender tone European quality crystal rhinestones. Brooch and earrings also has Large prong set red hue Aurora borealis gems. These large rhinestones are all prong set in a deep pie crust metal casing. You will also find smaller red and Aurora borealis Chatons throughout this beautiful vintage brooch and earring set. the earrings are the matching set to this vintage Demi Parure set by Karu Akre, please view all pictures.

Brooch measures 2'' in diameter comes with original strong pin clasp and hallmarked by Karu Akre Inc.

Earrings are 1.5'' in a clip on style also signed.
