It appears to be inscribed to an Irish woman (A nun? ) who assisted him while living on Achill Island writing his acclaimed "Irish Journral." At the conclusion he writes of 3 upcoming operations." Boll died in 1985 after being in ill health for several years. A remarkable association linking the writer to his notable Irish visitations throughout the1950s that culminated in "Irish Journal" being published.
