Very rare pair of antique cresset spit dogs in stunning condition for their age

Late 19th century / early 1900. The bolts underneath are Newton's a British manufacturer of bolts in the latter part of 19th century

A similar pair sold at Bonhams in October 2020 with an estimate of £600-800 (slightly more ornate)

Each measures 47cm high x 23cm wide x 35cm deep

Quite heavy each weighing approx 2.8kg
