CONDITION:  good old paperback, except for some shelfwear, especially on edges and corners of cover.  A bit cocked, but pages are well bound and a bit tanned with age.  Old price mark on front flyleaf.

COMMENTARIES ON LINE:

Straightforward story - except it’s Bear, so it’s not straightforward at all: this book succeeds in the depths one almost has to pry out of it. Very impressive

An interesting blend of sci-fi and Japanese historical fiction.  Greg Bear doesn't overwhelm readers with techno babble, so it was an enjoyable read.

Most odd.

I suspect that this would make a good space opera movie. The hero is man out of time who was given more questions than answers. Also, It's a quick read.
