Works well. Wonderful pleasant heartbeat to its automatic thumper winding.

Ai:

Because this is a Ref. 2577 paired with a 13.3-million serial Caliber 354 bumper from 1952, it sits in a very desirable sweet spot for vintage collectors. these gold-capped variants generally command a market value between $1,100 and $1,800.

It is as I said above it is a 2577. Bearing in mind I am so far doing a much better job of identifying it than AI, take it from me your price estimate is optimistic by about a factor of 3. A gold cap 2577 in OK unserviced condition might make $500-$700 on ebay. Yours is nicer than some but it has the least desirable (and least valuable) case finish as noted by Tony. Solid gold is king followed by stainless steel, gold cap (or gold plated) comes third. Usually.
